Ali Bastian Biography

Ali Bastian is a television actress. She was born in Windsor, Berkshire. She has appeared on television in Jane Eyre, Cave Girl, A Touch of Frost, Twenty Four 7 and Here After. She won the role of Becca Hayton in Hollyoaks in 2001.

She was dating Hollyoaks co-star (and on screen husband) Kevin Sacre who plays Jake Dean but they recently broke up and she is currently single. Ali and Kevin dated for two years with life imitating art as their on-screen characters Jake Dean and Becca Hayton were also falling in love and beginning a relationship. During their relationship the couple appeared in a TV couples addition of the quiz show The Weakest Link due to the fact they were a couple both on and off screen. Although they broke up they remain close friends and continue to work closely as their characters are now married in the show.

In December 2005, alongside her Hollyoaks castmates Jodi Albert (Debbie Dean) and Sarah Dunn (Mandy Hutchinson), Ali released a successful excercise video called Hollyoaks Get Fit.

Ali is now involved in a controversial storyline in Hollyoaks where her character who is a teacher is having an affair with one of her students.

At the 2006 British Soap Awards Ali, and co-star Chris Fountain, won the award for best storyline, for her character's affair with her pupil.
