The name ABBA was comprised of the first letters of the names of its members: Agnetha, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad.

As part of ABBA, she won the Eurovision Song Contest in Brighton, England, in 1974 with the song "Waterloo". (6th April 1974)
