Aaron Ashmore Biography

Aaron Ashmore (born October 7, 1979 in Richmond, British Columbia) is a Canadian film and television actor. His identical twin brother, Shawn Ashmore, is also an actor an portrayed the character Iceman in the film adaption of X-Men. Aaron and Shawn have played twins in several movies, but have also pursued roles independently.

Aaron Ashmore's most famous role was as Marc Hall in the 2004 Canadian TV movie Prom Queen: The Marc Hall Story. He has also appeared in The Skulls 2.

Aaron has more recently played the recurring role of Troy Vandegraff on the popular UPN TV series Veronica Mars.

Both he and his brother have GMA tattooed on their wrists. This stands for "Good Man Ashmore", a tattoo that their grandfather also had. It is a "family pride" tattoo.

He has recently been cast to star as Jimmy Olsen on the TV show Smallville. Coincidentally, his best friend Sam Huntington played Olsen in Superman Returns.
