Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus Review

Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus is the new album from pop artist Miley Cyrus. It was released on June 26, 2007 by Walt Disney Records. The first disc features 10 songs performed by Hannah Montana and serves as the soundtrack for the second season of the show. The second disc features 10 songs that serve as Miley Cyrus' debut album.

Episode connections:

In an episode filmed in the last week of May called "Me & Mr. Jonas," Robbie wrote the song "We Got the Party (With Us)" for the Jonas Brothers. The episode featured Hannah and the Jonas Bros. singing the song together.

In the episode "Cuffs Will Keep Us Together", Hannah/Miley said that "True Friend" was written for Lilly.

In the episode "You Are So Sue-Able to Me", when Jackson enters the contest and has all of the cell phones, in the background is playing "One In a Million" played by Hannah/Miley.

"Life's What You Make It" was played three times in the episode "I Am Hannah, Hear Me Croak". The first time was a concert scene, then a scene in the house, and then another concert-looking scene (different from the first).

"Nobody's Perfect" was played in the beginning of the Season 2 episode, "Get Down, Study-udy-udy" and later was transformed into "The Bone Dance" by Miley, in order to help her remember the bones for her Biology Mid-Term.

Hannah performed "Nobody's Perfect" for President Martinez in the Hannah Montana/Cory in the House crossover episode, "Take This Job and Love It!".

"One in a Million" refers to Miley's on-screen boyfriend, Jake Ryan, who in real life thinks that Miley Stewart really is "one in a million" as said to a reporter in an interview. "One In A Million" plays at the end of Achey Jakey Heart, Part 1. It shows Part 1's Jake and Miley relationship while the end credits roll.

In April 2007 Miley hinted to “CosmoGirl” Magazine that she may be re-releasing the “Hannah Montana” album with a more mature feel. She stated that she was recording some tracks that she had wrote herself and was hoping for them to be included in a special edition version of the record. Disney executives have yet to comment on this subject but a possible cover design has already begun to circulate.
